Information we collect
We may collect information you voluntarily provide through our contact, correction and locality-request forms. This may include your name, email address, optional telephone number, organization, locality, message and any official-source links you submit.
We may also collect limited technical information about visits to the site, such as pages viewed, general device information, referral source and interactions with site features.
Address lookup
If Google address suggestions are enabled, the text you type is sent to Google Places to suggest matching U.S. addresses. After you select a suggestion, the standardized address is sent through our website to the U.S. Census Bureau Geocoder solely to identify the applicable legal geography. The address is not added to a locality guide.
AlarmSystemPermit.com does not intentionally save the address, place it in browser storage, include it in analytics, or retain it after the lookup request is completed. Google and the Census Bureau may handle these requests under their own systems and privacy policies. You can browse the permit directory instead if you prefer not to use address lookup.
How we use information
We use submitted information to respond to messages, evaluate corrections, research requested localities, verify official sources and improve the directory. Contact information is used only to manage the submission and communicate when needed.
Personal information submitted through a form will not be included in public locality pages unless the person explicitly agrees and publication is appropriate.
Analytics and cookies
AlarmSystemPermit.com uses analytics and experience-measurement services, including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, to understand how the site is found and used. Non-essential analytics will follow the visitor’s cookie preferences where required.
Form-field values—including names, email addresses and telephone numbers—will not be intentionally sent to analytics platforms. Visitors will be able to review or change cookie preferences from the site footer.
Your choices
You may decline non-essential cookies, update your cookie preferences or contact us about personal information previously submitted. Disabling analytics cookies will not prevent access to the directory.
